No Helena Choral Week this year, but we are doing our traditional end-of-the-week church service at St. Peter's Episcopal Cathedral for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. Service at 9 am on Sunday the 29th (and it's Sundae Sunday with ice cream out in the garden after church!). We're singing some beautiful music for Saint Peter, including the sublime Palestrina Tu es Petrus, and 3 of the 4 glorious Motets sur des Themes Gregoriens of Maurice Durufle. AND the Byrd Agnus Dei from his Mass for 4 Voices, especially for the Rev. Robin Biffle, for whose ordination we sang the Byrd Mass some 21 years ago, and who is co-presider at the Sunday Mass along with the Cathedral's new interim rector Rev. Kendra Wilde.
