It's a FREE CLASS-filled weekend at the Orchard, and we hope you'll join for the fun! - Friday (5/30), 5:00-6:00pm: Foraging Between the Trees with Liz Barnhart (https://fb.me/e/56Oioko2v) - Saturday (5/31), 4:00-6:00pm: Medicinal Herb Walk with Katie Novotny (https://fb.me/e/2RQihh3Kd). This follows our last weekly Spring Work & Learn Day before we switch to our summer schedule (Wednesdays, 5-8pm, beginning in June), and you're welcome to come early to learn some sustainable orcharding skills (1-4pm). A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined for Spring Planting Day yesterday! It was wonderful to kick off our growing season by planting some new trees, shrubs, and plants to help cultivate more abundant harvests for all to share and enjoy together. Special thanks to Erby for playing music, Ross for reading his poems, Nathan for leading the planting demo, and Stacey for helping with trivia. And a huge thank you to the volunteers, new and old, for coming out and helping weed, transplant, and plant at the Orchard. We couldn't have the Bloomington Community Orchard without your support. It was so lovely to see all the smiling faces and willing hands, and a true delight to share the space with you. We hope to see you in the Orchard again soon! (fb)

A Public Orchard For All To Enjoy VOLUNTEER AND JOIN THE MOVEMENT Help Support The Orchard ABOUT THE ORCHARD The Bloomington Community Orchard is an allvolunteer nonprofit 501c3 devoted to growing fruit trees and other perennial edible agriculture for the community to enjoy while growing our orcharding skills through education and experiencesharing. The publicly owned orchard is maintained by volunteers and the harvest is available to everyone.
