We’re at the Putnam County Fair at Veterans Memorial Park this weekend! Come visit us! Also, you asked and we provide: Copies of the Natural Resources Inventory (NRI) book available for sale. We had an awesome Mother's Day CAC hike to Hawk Rock today! We had a few moms on the hike today, doing what they wanted for their day, including one mom who brought along her two children and who learned some of the basics of how to read trail direction from the trail blazes. We even met another hiking group on the trail who were doing what their mom wanted to do for her day, which was go for a good hike in the forest. So great! Answering that question means providing a little background The Kent Conservation Advisory Committee CAC In the Town of Kent and in many towns across New York volunteers serve on committees that advise the towns on conservation and environmental issues. They are known as Conservation Advisory Committees. In Kent the seven residents appointed by the town to serve in that capacity are responsible for helping preserve protect and promote the natural areas in our town so that everyone may enjoy them now and in the future.
