Hurricane Melissa continues to bring heavy rain across southern Haiti, and the downpours haven’t let up yet. In Jacmel, they’re feeling the full effects of the storm, but they are incredibly thankful that so far, flooding has been the only major issue. At La Concorde, classes have been suspended for the time being. The well has flooded, and the main road leading to the school has been washed out, making travel impossible and leaving Jacmel cut off. It’s a tough situation, but everyone is safe and in good spirits. We know this storm has affected so many communities, devastating Jamaica, and our hearts go out to those facing more severe damage. Please continue to uplift Haiti.
