Join us on Friday, August 1 at 7:30 am at the Watershed Center for our monthly meeting. Marc Owen and Todd Wagner present Why Ozarks Streams are Changing - And How Streambank Stabilization Can Help. Marc Owen is the Director of the Ozarks Environmental and Water Resources Institute at Missouri State University and Todd Wagner, PE, MSCE, MBA, CFM, is the President and Owner of Wagner & Associates, LLC. Following the presentation, the Natural Resources Conservation Service will give a quarterly update, and meeting attendees are encouraged to share brief updates. Coffee and pastries provided! Meeting location is 2400 E. Valley Water Mill Rd. Watershed conducted the Snapshot Sample Collection in the Little Sac River watershed today at 28 sites! A huge thanks to our 11 dedicated volunteers, the City Southwest Treatment Plant staff and our partners at James River Partnership for making this valuable data collection possible. 💧 (fb)

Our mission is to sustain and improve the water resources of Springfield and Greene County through education and effective management of the regions watersheds Education at the Watershed Center At the Watershed Center we strive to provide age appropriate placebased education about our water resources. Some groups come to simply enjoy the Valley Water Mill Park which is open from sunrise to sunset every day except Christmas. These visitors can learn about the site through interpretive signage and kiosks located around the park. Recreation at the Watershed Center Volunteer Opportunities Watershed Conservation Donating and Becoming a Sustainer Watershed Natives The Watershed Natives Program cultivates grows and sells native plants.
