🌟 #FosterFriday: Melody Found a Foster! 🌟 Fostering makes such a huge difference for pups like Melody. This 8-month-old sweetheart is silly, curious, and full of love, but the busy shelter was taking a toll on her… She was starting to get overwhelmed and frustrated and we knew we needed to get her out of the shelter ASAP. Like so many dogs, what she really needed was space to play, relax, and discover how to just be a dog. Now that Melody is in foster care, she’s finally getting that chance! After her very first night, her foster shares: “Wanted to share that Melody is doing amazing! She is having so much fun with our dog, they have been playing nonstop. She got lots of cuddles last night.” … and that’s the magic of fostering! 🎉 Two years of WALKS 🎉 This month we’re celebrating the second anniversary of our volunteer-run WALKS Program! After completing Green Dog Training (our intro class on safe handling and basic walking skills), new volunteers can join WALKS to build confidence with leashing, harnessing, yard time, and more. Every step of the way, they’re guided by incredible mentors who share their knowledge and encouragement. In just two years, WALKS has trained nearly 300 volunteers, logged more than 300 hours of walks, and supported hundreds of shelter dogs. That’s hundreds of tails wagging and pups getting the chance to shine for adopters.
