Celebrating Children The smiles say it all! On this International Day of the Child, we celebrate the courageous and resilient children whose journey to mobility and independence at HRDC is life changing. When children arrive, they are often withdrawn and isolated, having suffered discrimination in their villages. They are welcomed with affection, kindness, and love. And as they are treated, gain confidence, skills and friends at the HRDC School – frequently for the 1st time. And the ultimate test of our success? The smile test. “We call it the smile test. The Power of One 124,277 children’s lives changed One act of generosity is all it takes to prove what’s possible.
