Veterans United is committed to caring for Veterans, individuals in need and its own employees. James and his wife, Emmy, are both employees doing different roles to help Veterans achieve homeownership. Earlier this year, through the generous donations from fellow employees across the company to the Veterans United Foundation, James had the opportunity to visit his mother and siblings in Ethiopia. While there, he also used additional funds to support his family's community that had experienced so much turmoil over the last few years. "The community aspect of life in Ethiopia is unlike anything here in the U.S.," said Emmy. "They have so little, but they are happy, loving, supportive and compassionate toward each other. They are still in the process of rebuilding their towns and schools, and the help you provided will go SO MUCH further there than it ever could here.
