Our 5th graders spent five unforgettable days in the nation’s capital, visiting so many historical and educational sites, including the Spy Museum, Museum of the Bible, the Holocaust Museum, Mt. Vernon, the National Cathedral, Arlington, the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, and the Vietnam & WWII Memorials. Real-world U.S. History at its best. The trip was coordinated by Mrs. Kathy Coker. (fb)

Welcoming the Sumter Fire Department for Fire Safety Week, Preschool 3 turned curiosity into learning. Students practiced staying three feet from hot items, recognized a fire alarm, learned how to call 911, and discovered how firefighters protect our community. The highlight was seeing the fire engine up close, making safety lessons unforgettable. (fb)
