We really need volunteers to hang out with their bassets (not compulsory to have a basset with you!). Do you plan on joining us? Can you spare an hour of your time to hang out at the rescue booth and share your basset with the visitors? Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. We’ll have an x-pen available. Chloe is a 2 1/2 year old spayed female basset who is said to have good temperament and gets along with dogs her size or larger, unless there is food involved. She needs to eat separately from other dogs, including treats. She is not recommended for a home with chickens, cats, or other small animals. Chloe is OK with older children, but not comfortable around the wee ones. She is fearful of men. Chloe is housetrained and crate trained. Unlike most dogs, Chloe does not particularly enjoy going for walks. In short, Chloe’s ideal home would be one where she is the only dog, she is mostly around women, or older children, and where she is not required to go for walks.
