🎨 Student Spotlight: Kimberly Chavez “My name is Kimberly Chavez, and I’m majoring in Digital Arts and Graphic Design at Napa Valley College. I’ve always been interested in art, but it was animation that truly ignited my passion and pushed me further into this field. My experience at NVC has been amazing. The professors in the Art Department have challenged me and helped me go beyond my creativity. They’ve supported me at every step, and I’ve grown not just academically, but personally as well. One of the most meaningful parts of my time here has been the people I’ve met — they’ve helped me grow socially and gain more experience. The advice I would give to future art students is this: it’s okay to compare your work to others, but don’t let it bring you down. Instead, let it inspire you. Late Start Classes Available! It’s not too late to add a class this fall! Napa Valley College offers late-start courses that begin after the regular semester has started, giving students added flexibility. GEOG 120: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a hybrid course running September 22 – December 13, 2025.
