A truly joyful moment at one of our Lighthouses in Ethiopia, as it marks bringing 3,000 boys out of exploitation and into freedom since it opened in 2007. Canaan Lighthouse held a celebration event to mark the occasion, attended by Government representatives, NGOs and other partners. The 3,000th survivor to receive aftercare at this short-term shelter also shared his story. Our team has been training and equipping school social workers across Nashville to identify the warning signs of online exploitation and to protect children from perpetrators. Traffickers are using apps and games to exploit kids online. And with the increased use of online platforms during the summer months when children are off school, it’s vital we safeguard them. Olivia Messina, who oversees our work with survivors in Tennessee, said: “Training is so important because preventative care is just as important as aftercare.
