The Friends of the Hammock is a non-profit group created in 1995 to support education, beautification, management and charitable programs in Hammock Park. To help preserve and protect the 98 acres of Hammock Park, as much as possible, in its natural state for the benefit of visitors and future generations through community environmental education and funding for habitat projects.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER A wide range of people enjoy volunteering in Hammock Park. There is something for everyone to do. Opportunities range from maintaining the butterfly garden to removing invasive species to helping with outreach and education events. Volunteers come from schools camps scout troops universities and local nonprofits.
