✨ Throwback Thursday ✨ With today’s big news of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury announcing the new name of their arena, we couldn’t help but look back to 2015—when Foster Arizona hosted one of our first ever large-scale Kid Initiative events (then called Foster Joy) at the then Talking Stick Resort Arena. That day, foster youth had the chance to: 🏀 Take over the arena with clinics and drills 💃 Interact with the Suns dance team 🤝 Meet players and staff 🍴 Share a meal together on the plaza Ten years have flown by, but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to creating incredible experiences for Arizona’s foster and adoptive youth—thanks to our amazing volunteers who make it all possible. 💙 Want to be part of the next unforgettable moment? 🍂 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐬!🍁 October is here, and with it comes those slightly cooler temps in the Valley. If you’re anything like us, you’re grabbing for all things orange, pumpkin, and cozy sweaters this time of year. And let’s be honest—nothing says fall like a warm bowl of chili. 🌶️✨ At our sister organization, 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, we help bridge the gap for young adults transitioning out of foster care. One of the life skills we focus on is 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴—because confidence in the kitchen means confidence in independence. 💪 When a young adult graduates from our program, they leave with more than experience—they will take with them a custom cookbook filled with recipes and QR codes linking to step-by-step instructions. This chili recipe is one of those favorites!
