His promises are our armor and protection (Psalm 91:4). So, in trials, adversity, injustice or suffering, we can be confident in who He is and have peace in His presence as we meditate on His promises. Romans 8:18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Joy is not found in our comfort. It is found in knowing Him, knowing His Word and allowing it to take up residence in our hearts and lives.
