The Adult Autism Group, support in Springfield, IL - Home

Leadership by people on the autism spectrum; Self-advocacy focus. Strengths-based, rather than deficit-based, approach. The Adult Autism Group helps adults on the autism spectrum to live self-directed and fulfilling lives through the use of self-advocacy skills, person-centered planning and community support in the Springfield, Illinois area, and educates the public about the barriers these people face as they seek to integrate into the community. Our program is open to adults age 18 and older who are on the autism spectrum or think they may be and want to learn more (regular members) and their families and friends (who can join as associate members).

PUZZLE SOLVERS OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS INC a.k.a. THE ADULT AUTISM GROUP

For November, TAAG will be having a game night. It will be Wednesday, November 19th at 6:00 pm at the Lincoln Library on N. 7th St in Springfield. It will be in the Carnegie North Room on the 1st floor. It will last until approximately 7:30-7:45. TAAG will provide some water and chips. You are welcome to bring your own drinks if you'd like and can also bring snacks as long as they don't leave a mess. I encourage everyone to bring their favorite game. That will provide a good option of games you can choose to play. Please let me know if you plan to attend. Also, if you'd like to mark your calendars, TAAGs's Christmas Party will be Wednesday, December 10th at 6:00 pm also in the Carnegie Room at the Lincoln Library. The Adult Autism Group is a nonprofit organization based in Springfield Illinois. Our mission is to help adults on the autism spectrum to live more successful fulfilling lives. Current Programs Monthly Meeting While monthly meetings were paused due to COVID The Adult Autism Group plans to soon resume monthly meetings to socialize and discuss topics of interest to those on the spectrum and their allies. We are currently looking for a new location for monthly meetings.
