Colorado River Land Trust Texas Earned. PROTECT TEXAS They say everything is bigger in Texas but the truth is Texas is still growing. Our state now boasts five of the fifteen largest cities in the country. There was a time when the vast majority of Texas land was part of a farm ranch or forest but today Texas is losing its open country faster than any other state in the nationespecially within the Colorado River watershed.
