Tomorrow marks the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. DVAM is a cause that’s especially important to us through our philanthropic partnership with Jewish Women International (JWI). JWI seeks to ensure all women have the fundamental right to live in safe homes, thrive in healthy relationships, and realize the full potential of their personal strength. Our sisters are dedicated to JWI’s mission and work hard to raise money, increase awareness, and educate our communities. Our Gamma Tau–Columbia chapter recently raised money for the JWI Read-A-Thon Initiative, which creates children’s libraries in women’s shelters, giving kids safe spaces filled with stories and hope. Gamma Tau’s donation will provide five fully restocked bookshelves plus new laptops and printers for one library!
