She is black as the starless night and has has zero interest. All of our other posts gather upwards of 500+ views. Lily has had 4 views. Four….. Because she is overlooked. To make things just a tad more difficult this precious girl…Lily would probably prefer to be an only child and relish 100% of her persons love and affections with a return of 10x that amount. Today…just like for the past several weeks…she sits in a room by herself gazing out the window. She excitedly welcomes our volunteers with leg bops and sweet mews. She relishes love and whatever lap time can be afforded to her. Her purrs are unwavering ….her big beautiful eyes are pleading …and her heart…her heart is yearning. She has not given up. And yet, Lily cries a longing insistent cry when volunteers have to move on. And it shatters my heart. Lily is still a baby….an absolutely precious little soul. LILY ❤️ October is Black Cat Awareness Month. Black cats are statistically overlooked in shelters. They don’t photo well, your eyes pass them over because they have no color to stand out and then of course there is the old “black cat myths” And so here we are…the odds are against this girl. But I truly believe in shattering the odds. There IS someone out there for Lily….we just have to join together to find that one special person. PLEASE help us spread Lily’s story. We have officially renamed Creamsicle DYLAN (after Bob Dylan) which is more suitable to his laid back “everything is cool” personality. I’m not sure who needs to see this but this handsome boy is simply PHENOMENAL! Dylan is a totally chill lover of of boy that would be the calm in a storm.
