Florida PTA joins National PTA and the CDC in recognizing National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day on August 21. This important day gives us the opportunity to honor the lives lost and raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl. This year’s theme, Hope and Mental Health, is a reminder that while overdose deaths may be declining, fentanyl continues to be a leading cause of overdoses across our country. Even one loss is one too many. As a PTA family, we believe in the power of prevention, education, and community. By reducing stigma, increasing awareness, and supporting one another, we can build safer, healthier futures filled with hope, healing, and recovery. (fb)
