Today, Scott and Tonya proudly volunteered for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center Sexual Assault Awareness Walk representing Independence, Inc. and standing in solidarity with survivors in our community. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, people with disabilities—both women and men—are sexually assaulted at rates more than seven times higher than those without disabilities. This is unacceptable. We are honored to partner with DVCC to raise awareness, break the silence, and work together to address this issue head-on. Every survivor deserves to be heard.
