As a feature of the Place of Peace on the Saint Benedict Monastery grounds, the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia are establishing a beautiful new prayer garden, lovingly dedicated to our own Sister Andrea Verchuck (1929-2025). The Prayer Garden will feature: • Three Prayer Pods - Peace, Gratitude, and Praise - each with seating to inspire prayer and contemplation • A gentle fountain offering the murmur of flowing water, inviting serenity and inner stillness • Accessible walkways to ensure the garden is available to all • Native Virginia plants and flowers To help raise funds for this project, the Sisters are participating in PWC Gives! - a special 24-hour fundraising event sponsored by the Prince William County Foundation designed to promote charitable giving in and throughout the county.* The event starts today at 9 a.m. EST, and runs for 24 hours until 9 a.m. EST on September 12.
