This month, Communities In Schools of Indiana and CareSource teamed up to bring the Pledge to Be Present to Lawrence Central High School—an initiative led by the CIS National Office to address the national epidemic of chronic absenteeism in schools. Students were inspired by special guest Ephraim Owens, an LCHS alum and star of The Voice season 24, who encouraged them to show up for themselves, their classmates, and their futures by taking the pledge.
