Με την έναρξη της σχολικής χρονιάς, πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 12 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024 από την Ελληνική Εθελοντική Συμπαράσταση / Hellenic Relief Foundation και το Κοινωνικό Παράρτημα του Συλλόγου των Αθηναίων στις εγκαταστάσεις στην Αθήνα εκτός από τη μηνιαία και αδιάλειπτη από το 2012, διανομή τροφίμων (ζυμαρικά, ρύζι, αλεύρι, κριθαράκι, πελτέ, λάδι, ζάχαρη, κατεψυγμένα λαχανικά κ.α.) προσφέρθηκαν και σχολικά είδη. Η διανομή στις περίπου 350 οικογένειες και μοναχικά άτομα πραγματοποιήθηκε υπό τις οδηγίες της υπεύθυνης της ΕΛΕΘΣΥ κ. Μαρία Σιούρδη και των εθελοντών Σούλας Μπέλλη, Αντωνίας Παντουβάκη, Έμυς Σπανού, Γιάννη Λάμπρου και του εργαζόμενου Φώτη Παναγιωτακόπουλου. Στο πλαίσιο της διανομής, τα παιδιά των ωφελουμένων οικογενειών παρουσία του Δημοτικού Συμβούλου του Δ. Αθηναίων και Προέδρου του Συλλόγου των Αθηναίων κ. Ελευθερίου Γ. Σκιαδά, της κας Σάκης Κυπραίου Επίτιμης Προέδρου της ΕΛΕΘΣΥ, η οποία θέλησε να διαβιβάσει τις ευχαριστίες της προς την ομογένεια η οποία στηρίζει αυτό το έργο από το 2012 έως και σήμερα, της κας Μαρίνας Γονιωτάκη, της κας Ελλης Θανογιάννη, είχαν τη δυνατότητα να πάρουν καινούρια ενδύματα και αθλητικά υποδήματα, προσφορά εθελοντών και Εταιρειών όπως η MERIDIAN, PAREX και σχολικές τσάντες, γραφική ύλη προσφορά επίσης τόσο εθελοντών όσο και εταιρειών όπως η ΝΕΟΧΑΡΤ, ΣΚΑΓΙΑΣ ενώ απόλαυσαν χυμούς και γλυκίσματα. Η διανομή των σχολικών ειδών έγινε σε χαρούμενη και συγκινητική ατμόσφαιρα γιατί σε πολλά από τα παιδιά των ωφελουμένων είμαστε δίπλα τους από τα πρώτα βήματά τους στη σχολική ζωή έως και το πέρας του Λυκείου φροντίζοντας να τους προσφέρουμε με την υποστήριξη του Κοινωνικού Παραρτήματος του Συλλόγου των Αθηναίων και του Ομίλου Ν. Κωνσταντόπουλος όχι μόνο τα απαραίτητα για το σχολείο αλλά και δωρεάν μαθήματα αγγλικής γλώσσας. (fb)

On September 12th, 2024, the #Hellenic Relief Foundation, together with their partner organization in Athens ΕΛΕΣΘΥ, and in partnership with the Social Committee of the Athenian Society, conducted their monthly food distribution, which has been ongoing since 2012. The monthly packages included pasta, rice, flour, orzo, tomato paste, oil, sugar, frozen vegetables, and more. Marking the new school year, the H.R.F. also offered school supplies. Some 350 families took part in the distribution, under the direction of Ms. Maria Siourdi, director of the H.R.F’s partner organization, as well as volunteers Soula Belli, Antonia Pantouvaki, Emy Spanou, Giannis Lambrou, and employee Fotis Panagiotakopoulos. During the distribution, the children of the beneficiaries were also invited to get new clothes, athletic shoes, backpacks, and stationary, compliments of the volunteers, and companies such as Meridian, Parex, Neohart, and Skag. The distribution to the children, during which juice and sweets were offered, was conducted in the presence of the Municipal Councilor of the Municipality of Athens and President of the Athenian Society, Mr. Eleftherios G. Skiadas, Ms. Sakis Kypraiou, honorary President of ΕΛΕΣΘΥ, who wished to convey her thanks to the diaspora who continue to support this effort from 2012 until today, Ms. Marina Goniotaki, and Ms. Elli Thanoyanni. The distribution was especially heartfelt, as many of the children have been aided not just by the H.R.F., but also by the Athenian Society, and with support from the N.
