OCTOBER IS HERE! Absolutely a great hiking month. ENJOY! And please take a moment to fill out and comment on our ANNUAL census form. (Located at the trail head) This information is incredibly valuable when making grant applications and proving the value and use of the Trail. Could every user/hiker, and dogwalker PLEASE donate to TTT so that mowing (by contractor) of paths can continue? There are no town funds/support for this and volunteers do not have machinery required. https://www.tritowntrail.com/donate Great News: TTT will now be partnering with the Connecticut Forest and Parks to provide stewardship of the Pequot Trail north of Preston Park. This will Connect with TTT at Preston Community Park and extend north to Rt 165. As a part of this partnership TTT will be dual blazing the Pequot trail as the TTT Preston spur. Volunteers needed, our current list is outdated and gets little response, so if you are interested please resend your interest . The next volunteer effort will be the FALL CLEAN-UP Nov. 9; looking for 10-20 folks for a one day clean-up 2-4 hours. tritowntrailassociation@gmail.com. LUMINARY TRAIL WALK ......Other trails have had great luck with luminary trail walks to raise funds.
