Dr. Iris S. Levine will be appointed Cal Poly Pomona's interim president in July when President Soraya M. Coley retires after nearly 11 years at the helm. Levine spent 32 years at CPP, beginning as a faculty member in 1990. She served as the chair of the Music Department for 15 years, became the dean of the Cal Poly Pomona-College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences in 2018 and was the interim provost and special assistant to the president before retiring in 2022. At today's California State University board of Trustees meeting, Chancellor Mildred García announced the appointment of Levine, effective July 28. Coley announced in February that she would retire at the end of July. CPP will launch a national search in September for a permanent president. Read more: https://bit.ly/3SfUg5Y (fb)
