These places inspire us to create a stronger nation because they belong to all of us. National Trust for Historic Preservation Our Mission The Mission of the Halltown Memorial Chapel Association is to contribute to the understanding and interpretation of AfricanAmerican life during the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Jefferson County West Virginia through the restoration and preservation of the Halltown Memorial Chapel 1901 and the Halltown AfricanAmerican Free School 1870.
