The Hearing Speech Center The Hearing Speech Center HSC is a private nonprofit agency with over 60 years of experience working with children with hearing loss andor speechlanguage impairments. The Center began in 1960 as a preschool for children with hearing loss after a group of parents approached the founders Jimmy and Edie Frankel with a request to create an educational alternative to the state residential school for the deaf. The mission of The Hearing Speech Center is to teach children with hearing speech and language impairments to listen and talk. We do this by providing highquality educational clinical and family support services.
