I am excited to share our newest "Meet the Team Tuesday!" Please help me in welcoming Shannon Ryan to our Health WorkForce New York team as Executive Assistant. She will also be assisting with Brooklyn Queens Long Island AHEC, Central New York AHEC and Northern AHEC. Shannon is a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant with over 25 years of experience in fast-pasted environments, supporting C-level executives in the non-profit, human services sector. Known for anticipating needs, streamlining operations, and handling sensitive communications with discretion and professionalism. Skilled in calendar management, travel coordination, event planning, and project management, with a strong ability to prioritize and adapt to dynamic demands. Shannon is Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified and focuses on process improvement opportunities in all areas of the organization. Driven by a passion for efficiency and excellence, Shannon combines a keen eye for detail with a collaborative spirit—ensuring every executive interaction and administrative process runs smoothly. Trusted as a gatekeeper, strategist, and problem-solver, she is committed to upholding the highest standards of service and integrity. Shannon has worked as an Office Administrator for the Rape Crisis Center of Syracuse (now known as Vera House), as Executive Assistant for Spanish Action League of Onondaga County, Inc. (LaLiga), and most recently as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Team at Hillside Children’s Center. Shannon most recently served her community as Treasurer on Board of Directors for Child Care Solutions of CNY and previously served as President of Volunteer Administrators of CNY. Shannon was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. She attended Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University. Shannon has an adult daughter, Shelby. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at her camp on Lake Ontario and chasing sunsets on her fiancé’s Harley. (fb)
