Like many across our community and the world, we mourn the passing of visionary businessman Fred Smith, a longtime donor of the Community Foundation. We are proud to manage the FedEx Founder’s Fund, established by the company at its 50th anniversary in 2023 to honor the legacy of Mr. Smith. The fund supports U.S. veteran and military-connected entrepreneurs to help their businesses succeed and supports nonprofits from around the world, selected by FedEx team members in recognition for their outstanding volunteer engagement.
