Thom Watts has been a mainstay in the Pittsburg, KS/Joplin, MO radio market since 1991. He currently serves as the Program Director and morning show talent for Zimmer Marketing’s Classic Hits 93.9. Prior to that, Thom spent 20 years in various roles with KKOW Radio in Pittsburg, including 17 years as Program Director and morning show talent for 96.9 “The Kow”. He’s a lifelong resident of the area, growing up in Oswego, KS. He graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in communication, and served as the President of the PSU Alumni Association Board of Directors President in 2024 and 2025. Brad Stefanoni, Entrepreneur and Owner of McKay Street Coffeehouse. ☕ He’s taking his barista skills to the next level—espresso yourself, Brad! A native of Frontenac, Brad Stefanoni has a great deal of experience mixing up drinks and serving customers from behind a counter. For several years, he and his wife Andra owned Root Coffeehouse, which was a 2023 Small Business of the Year finalist and received the Rotary Business of the Month Award, and since June they have owned McKay Street Coffeehouse in downtown Frontenac. A graduate of Pittsburg State University, Brad worked in leadership positions with the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center at Greenbush and at Pitt State for many years. Outside of work, Brad has been active in the arts both as a volunteer and a performer, including with Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre, Pittsburg Community Theatre, and the Friends of PHS Performing Arts. As the descendent of Italian immigrants, Brad also is a strong supporter of preserving mining and immigrant history. Miners Hall Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing Southeast Kansas coal mining history and its diverse immigrant culture. Discover the Past Explore unique exhibits and attend educational programming that highlights our areas rich mining legacy. Admission is FREE Open Monday through Saturday 10am 4pm History on the Move Through the remarkable donation of Wendell and Lynda Wilkinson we have received a oneofakind Page 618 Walking Dragline. This unique piece of coal mining machinery is one of the eighteen Page 618 Walking Draglines built.
