Remember the young man whose story began with a desperate phone call and nights spent locked out with nowhere to go? We’ve shared his journey before—from couch surfing with relatives, to landing in an emergency shelter, to finally securing long-term housing through The Cove and our community partners. Now, we’re thrilled to share the next chapter: he just graduated high school—and he might be the most excited of all our students. After everything he’s faced, the future he’s fought so hard to reach is here. He’s starting at TSTC (Texas State Technical College) this fall and is actively job hunting for the summer. With two years of stable housing, case management, and continued support ahead of him, he’s stepping into adulthood with hope, resilience, and a community behind him. 💙 Help us celebrate him. Welcome Ending Youth Homelessness THE COVE OUR MISSION is to provide a safe place for youth experiencing homelessness to access the resources they need to thrive. HOUSING SOLUTIONS MEALS TUTORING HYGIENE ITEMS RENT ASSISTANCE ATTENDANCECREDIT RECOVERY more youth more often In 2024 we broke a record at The Cove by serving more youth than any other year since opening our doors in 2016. In 2024 a total of 190 teenagers received support from The Cove. Through schoolbased outreach Cove staff visit local high schools to meet with youth who are potentially experiencing homelessness.
