Today we’re celebrating Case Manager Heather Fisher! Heather brings years of experience in human services and, after exploring other career paths, realized how much she missed the fulfillment of working in day programs. That passion led her to Rise in October 2024, when she started as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) 2. She quickly progressed to a DSP 3 Lead, took on leadership responsibilities, and was recognized with the Employee of the Moment award. Heather has since stepped into a Case Manager position and continues to grow while building strong connections with team members and the people she serves. Thank you, Heather, for all you do! We’re halfway through Team Member Recognition Week, and today’s spotlight is on Vince Mans! Vince has been part of Rise for over 26 years. He began in 1999 as a Site Supervisor (equivalent to today’s DSP role) in the Community-Based Training and Employment (CBTE) Program, where he supported and trained people served in daily tasks like laundry and making beds at St. Therese Care Center. Since then, Vince has held six different positions at Rise, including roles in the CBTE Program, the Community Respite Program, and most recently as an Administrative Specialist. At every step, he has continued building his skills and experiences. His dedication has been recognized many times, including receiving a state award for Distinguished Service at the MnDACA/MHC conference in 2001, being honored as the very first Champion of the Month in 2018, and earning his 25-year recognition award in 2024.
