We are an ecumenical, nonprofit, Christian organization committed to eliminating substandard housing through the building of decent homes for those in need in our two counties in Virginia.  Lancaster/ Northumberland Habitat works in partnership with qualified families and community volunteers, including businesses and organizations, to build and sell houses at no profit and with no interest.  Neither race, gender nor religion is a factor upon selection of the partner families that buy Habitat homes.  Our mission is to partner with God's people to create stronger community within Lancaster and Northumberland counties by building simple homes and providing 0% loans to deserving families, breaking the cycle of poverty and building stronger futures.
