Like many of you, I’m sure, I’m of Welsh descent, and that was, more than likely, the catalyst that inspired me to take interest in the Welsh language in the first place. Merely a year after coming to Wales for the first time to learn Welsh on a summer school course, I moved to north Wales to study Welsh as a subject on a course at Bangor University. Soon thereafter I realized my passion for teaching the language to others, so I trained as a Welsh tutor through the National Centre for Learning Welsh. I am so excited to have the honor of teaching on the Madog course in New York this year and I’m looking forward to meeting you all there. Some of my interests include reading, singing, playing guitar, going for a walk, getting a panad (or a pint) with my friends and spending time with my family. Flwyddyn ar ôl dod i Gymru am y tro cynta’ i ddysgu iaith y nefoedd ar gwrs ysgol haf, wnes i symud i ogledd Cymru i astudio’r Gymraeg fel pwnc ar gwrs ym Mhrifysgol Bangor. Yn fuan iawn wedyn wnes i sylweddoli fy mod yn teimlo’n frwd dros ddysgu’r iaith i bobol eraill, felly wnes i hyfforddi fel tiwtor Cymraeg trwy’r Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg Genedlaethol. Dwi’n teimlo mor gyffrous am gael y fraint o ddysgu ar gwrs Madog yn Efrog Newydd eleni a dwi’n edrych ymlaen i’ch cyfarfod chi i gyd yno.
