Help needed as we host the Cornell College Choir in collaboration with the Fisk Jubilee Singers on Saturday, April 19 at 7 p.m. You can help us welcome these talented young people by signing up below. The Fisk Jubilee Singers are an American a cappella ensemble that performs Negro spirituals originally sung by slaves prior to the Civil War. The first group of Singers arranged the music and took it on the road beginning in 1871 introducing the public to a new genre that remains a vibrant musical tradition today. During the long renovation, our church met at Cornell College. It's been a pleasure to return the hospitality as derecho repairs continue at King Chapel. They hope to return to King Chapel in 2027. Since the derecho, we’ve hosted an average of three events a year for our neighbors. It’s a great opportunity to connect and share the love of Jesus! (fb)
