On July 18th, Wisconsin Farmers Union members gathered at Wisconsin Farmers Union Kamp Kenwood for the 2025 Summer Conference. 🌾 From policy updates and keynote speeches to pie contests and youth day-camp, the event celebrated our shared values and collective progress. Executive Director Danielle Endvick opened the day by honoring the legacy of the Kamp Kenwood main lodge, which was built by WFU members in the 1950s. President Darin Von Ruden reflected on a year of growth and impact, while Governor Tony Evers highlighted rural wins in the state budget and praised WFU’s leadership in conservation and community initiatives. Throughout the day, members dug into the big issues like climate, consolidation, food systems, energy, and more—with insight from WFU staff and statewide leaders, including WI DNR Secretary Karen Hyun and a panel of local food champions.
