Feminists at #HRC59 continue to remind us that in normative systems of development, labour and human rights are treated as distinct and individualized issues. Yet the same neoliberal and patriarchal structures that enable labour exploitation, e.g unfair trade agreements, enable the violation of basic human rights. Whether it’s sex work or domestic work, precarity is shaped by systems.
