Inflation had soared to a staggering 70%. For months while she was pregnant and breastfeeding, the only food his mom, Shashikala, could afford to eat was rice. Gavesh was born tiny and quickly developed malnutrition. ChildFund’s Community Response Hub, an emergency feeding program designed to support families with food aid, became a lifeline for the family. They received meals several times a week, and slowly, as Gavesh began eating solid foods, his growth and weight improved.
