Workshop Announcement! Learn how to sew the Long-Stitch book, a simple and beautiful book form that has been used since medieval times in Germany. This is a non-adhesive structure that has both an exposed spine, yet the book’s pages are also sewn directly through the cover. In this workshop the cover is a soft suede leather, flexible with softly rounded spines (commonly known as a Limp Binding). The finished cover incorporates a leather cord to wrap around the entire book. These make excellent sketch journals, and your next book will have the perfect paper selection of your choice. $25.00 materials fee due to instructor at start of workshop. Your Custom Text Here Welcome to North Bay Letterpress Arts Our Mission North Bay Letterpress Arts is a center of teaching and practicing letterpress printing located in Sebastopol California. It is also an experimental commons for those who are fascinated by the graphic presence of words and images formed printed by hand. Our amazing group of Studio Printers pay a membership fee to use the facilities and push their own creative boundaries as well as the process and medium. Our shop hosts workshops tours exhibits poetry readings book launches musical performances movie nights and a virtual bemusement park.
