Some of the patients HHF assists need a lot of help. They are about to lose their home, or the power is about to be shut off, or their families need food. Other patients just need a little help — a way to stay in touch with their grandkids, a bit of entertainment to lighten the mood and pass the time. James and his wife are on a small SSDI income. With a terminal diagnosis, James became depressed and needed an easy way to distract himself. Hospice Help Foundation funded his social worker's request for a tablet and case for James. Little things can make a big difference. With his new tablet, James can now stay in touch with family, play games, and listen to music and audiobooks to take his mind off his medical condition.
