Huge shoutout to one of our recent graduates from the Belleville Training Center! 🎉👏 We’re proud to celebrate this incredible accomplishment — a testament to hard work, dedication, and the power of union training. The future looks bright! 💪🔨 Jacob Theising, a recent apprentice graduate from the Belleville training center was honored by the St Louis Chapter of the American Welding Society as the Outstanding Apprentice in Welding for 2025, representing the Mid-America Carpenters Apprentice and Training Program – Belleville Campus. Jacob was nominated by his welding instructors, Kyle Schaefer and Jeremiah Frech. Instructor Notes: We nominated Jacob Theising’s for the AWS outstanding student of the year because Jacob exhibited great professionalism while in attending his apprenticeship training both in the shop and the classroom. While Jacob was newer to welding as an apprentice, he took the instruction and shop projects very seriously and showed good craftsmanship. Jacob Theising also showed great leadership abilities by helping some of the other students with correct weld techniques when he noticed they were struggling. He practiced hard and was able to pass his weld certification test with flying colors. Jacob possesses a good attitude and a get it done personality that instructors/contractors can both appreciate. He was the kind of apprentice every instructor likes to have in class. These are the reasons we feel that Jacob Theising is deserving of recognition as the Mid-America Carpenters Apprenticeship Belleville Campus AWS outstanding student for 2025. #UnionStrong #ApprenticeshipSuccess #BellevilleTrainingCenter #ProudUnionCarpenters #CarpentersTraining (fb)
