Through this initiative, participants will not only learn handicraft techniques but also take part in life skills sessions led by SEED staff, helping them build confidence, creativity, and resilience for a brighter future. Their handicrafts will be showcased and sold at the Halabja Pomegranate Festival, where we will celebrate and showcase their hard work and talent with the community. English/کوردی | SEED extends its sincere congratulations to Colonel Rizgar Farzinda Afandi on his appointment as Director of the Erbil Residency Directorate. SEED’s President, Sherri Kraham Talabany, and team, met with Colonel Rizgar and his team to discuss ongoing joint efforts to combat human trafficking and enhance protection for survivors. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the Residency Directorate, the Department for Combating Organized Crime (DCOC), and the Labor Directorate to improve protection mechanisms, ensure accountability for recruitment companies, and raise awareness among foreign workers about their rights and obligations.
