🐾 We are looking for some input 🐾 Pictured below is Dobby, a 5 year old Chiweenie. Dobby is great with cats, dogs, kids, loves car rides, and will cuddle with blankets like no other! Unfortunately, Dobby has had ongoing diarrhea for 6 months now. Her owner has tried all the tests recommended, but has yet to find a reason for the diarrhea. Because of these constant vet visits with no answer, Dobby’s owner has asked us to take her in. While we would love to do this, we also need to think logically. In order to take Dobby in, we are needing a dedicated foster who would be willing to help with Dobby’s diarrhea and vet visits, as we are unsure how long it’ll be before we find answers. This means she will probably need more tests and maybe even a specialist. We would also need our community to step in and help with her vet bills. Is this something the PPAWS community can support? 🆕 New!! 🆕 Hi, all! I’m Saoirse (Sorsha), a seven-month old Wheaten Terrier. Soft coated Wheaten Terriers are medium-size Irish farm dogs. I would do best in a country atmosphere with a large yard, fence, and a doggy pal. I was born February 13, 2025. I’m currently seven months old with all the characteristics that implies: teething, chewing, jumping on people, and barking hysterically at the cats. I weigh 31 pounds, love to eat, am house-trained, and am full of energy and exuberance. I have a beautiful curly coat that my foster mom likes to keep really short, because seeds and such get caught in it. My mom checks me everyday for debris. I love to swim in the pond, but am leery about going out into the rain.I’m learning how to play ball and to follow simple commands like sit and come. I also recognize my name. I walk well on a leash, but don’t like to dawdle. I am a special-needs dog. I am incontinent. The vets believe it to be a birth defect. I could have surgery, but it is expensive, and only has a 50% chance of correcting the problem. My foster parents have worked out a management plan that includes frequent bathing, the use of an apple cider vinegar and water wash to clean up my back legs, and medicine. I sleep in my kennel on washable peepads in case of night time leakage. I refuse to keep a diaper on. The key to making me an acceptable puppy in public has been house-training, the peepads, and the apple-cider vinegar.
