Wednesday was concluded with our Ride With Pride celebration. All year students were challenged to have good behavior, good grades, good attendance, and positive interactions with local law enforcement. Throughout the year at our Celebration Friday's, students were reminded and recognized with WMC's Fruit of the Spirit awards. Today, through random drawing, we recognized 15 students as finalists for the opportunity to win a hoverboard (middle school), a scooter (high school without a license), and a car (high school licensed driver). Congratulations to our winners: Nora, Lainey, and Audrey. Ride with Pride is a partnership between schools, law enforcement, and local businesses. We would especially like to recognize Baxter's Towing for their donation of a car. (fb)

On Wednesday Isabelle, Molly, and Averi- students from Mr. White's Methodical Bible Study class- prepared and taught a lesson to Mrs. Rotman's 4th grade students at Grand Haven Christian School. The girls chose to teach about the value of repentance and prayer in the context of God's mercy from the story of Jonah in the Old Testament. The lesson concluded with an opportunity for students to write a prayer like Jonah's based on chapter 2 verse 2: "In my distress I called to the Lord, and He answered me." A special thanks to Mrs. Rotman and to her class for being such outstanding learners. (fb)
