It’s true: every time there is shocking news—whether wars, natural disasters, or moral crises—many react by saying, “Christ is coming soon! The end of the world is near!” And while it’s true that we must live prepared, we often forget God’s missionary heart. Ezekiel 18:23 reminds us of something profound: “Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?” And 2 Peter 3:9 reveals God’s divine patience: “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise… but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” So, while many talk about the end, God is still waiting… waiting for His Church to wake up, for His people to rise, and for His Name to be proclaimed to the ends of the earth. There are still thousands of unreached people groups, villages under persecution, and individuals who have never heard the name of Jesus. As you rightly said, many of us live in comfort, without feeling the eternal weight of the lost. Thank you for your sincerity and for calling us to awaken.
