Last week, a delegation of AEPi undergraduates and recent grads joined AEPi Foundation Executive Director Jay Feldman at the White House to participate in a special briefing with young Jewish American leaders to discuss strategies for combating antisemitism on university campuses and in the workplace. Our brothers met Martin Marks, White House liaison to the Jewish community, Leo Terrell, Chair of the DOJ Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, Keith Sonderling, Deputy Secretary of Department of Labor, Will Scharf, White House Staff Secretary, and several other federal agency representatives. During the visit to Washington, the brothers also met with Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer, professor and pollster Dr. Frank Luntz, and Former Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy to discuss legislation on increased federal funding for security and safety of Jewish students and Jewish communal facilities. Civic Engagement is a core tenet of AEPi! We are proud of the leading roles these young men play in their local communities and our nation’s Capitol. (fb)
