The Theatre Lab is DC’s largest and most comprehensive independent institution for dramatic arts The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts is committed to transforming lives through theatre education. Washington's largest theatre school, The Theatre Lab serves more than 2,600 youth and adults in the Washington, DC area each year through its drama education and comunity programs. Our students include children and teens from low-income households, justice-incvolved youth and returning citizens, seniors in assisted living facilities, wounded veterans and families grieving the loss of a military loved one, unhoused families, and people in recovery. The Theatre Lab also serves a national audience through its Life Stories Institute, in which artists, teachers, and social service providers learn to teach the curriculum of our award-winning Life Stories program in their own communities.
