Intern Spotlight Meet @hadassahsternfeld, a 22-year-old from Charleston, South Carolina! Through @birthrightisraelonward, Hadassah spent her summer living in Tel Aviv and interning with Save a Child’s Heart. Despite the war with Iran and her evacuation from Israel, she decided to return to continue supporting the children and families who depend on SACH for hope and healing. “Interning at SACH was one of the most fulfilling and meaningful experiences of my life. Our dance parties, art projects, and silly moments are memories that will last a lifetime! One of my favorite memories with them was our ‘Great SACH Bake Off’, when we made chocolate balls together, and all the kids got to be chefs! It was so special getting to see them excited about trying something new and truly just being kids! These kids are the reason we do what we do, and I’m so lucky to have had the opportunity to get to spend time with so many of them! Even when I was evacuated due to the war with Iran, I knew I wanted to come back to continue making a difference with SACH. You can just feel the love when you walk into SACH and how much the kids and their families love having you there, that it was impossible for me not to return. I’m so grateful to SACH for this amazing experience, not a day goes by that I don’t think about them” We are endlessly thankful for Hadassah’s passion, energy, and commitment to making a difference.
