Second Wind St. Louis :: Helping Lung Transplantees to Successful Outcomes
Helping Lung Transplantees to Successful Outcomes We are a St. Louis 501c3 nonprofit organization that has been helping pre and post lung transplant patients with financial assistance for numerous years. Second Wind, founded in April of 1995, provides lung transplant patients and their families (from Barnes Jewish Hospital & Children's Hospital in St. Louis) with information, support, education and guidance through: a Patient Assistance Program; a Monthly E-newsletter; a Mentoring Program; Assistance with Relocation to St. Louis for Transplant; Social and Support Networking; Second Sunday Socials and Support Group Meetings; Donor Awareness and Educational Activities. With out Second Wind and the wonderful programs they provide, many transplant patients would have continued to feel isolated and uncertain about what to do.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Second Wind friend, Randy Nowlin. Randy was transplanted on February 15, 2006. We are thankful for the extra time he could be with us. (fb)
